Employment costs and directors’ remuneration increase at firm headed by Anton Savage

The Communications Clinic, a public relations firm led by broadcaster Anton Savage, recorded profits of €101,584 last year.

Abridged accounts filed with the Companies Registration Office show accumulated profits increased from €580,521 to €682,105 in the 12 months to the end of March 31st 2015.

The firm, which was established in 2008 by former employees of Carr Communications, provides public relations and media coaching. Its named business clients include Irish Distillers, KPMG and Allianz. A number of outgoing Government ministers, including Frances Fitzgerald and James Reilly, have also previously used the company's services.

Today FM presenter Anton Savage is managing director of the firm. Other directors include Mr Savage's parents, former RTÉ chairman Tom Savage and columnist Terry Prone.

The accounts show the number of staff employed by the company, including directors rose from 9 to 13 over the year under review. Employment costs, including wages and salaries, increased from €616,484 to €890,979 while directors’ remuneration jumped from €235,120 to €388,031.
