The Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI) has appointed Seán Hynes as its next president. Mr Hynes, who is co-founder and creative director of Dublin advertising agency Bonfire, follows Shenda Loughnane, global managing director of iProspect, in the role.

“The next few years are going to be very interesting for our industry. We have challenges, opportunities and successes that put us in a different place than we have been before,” said Mr Hynes.

He identified the advertising body’s priorities as talent, growth and sustainability.

“We now have a very clear lens to look through and ensure that all of our energies and activities are focused on these priorities. As a strategy it’s very forward looking and positive.”
