Out-of-home advertising company Kinetic Ireland has been acquired by independent British company Talon Outdoor for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition of Poster Plan Limited, which trades as Kinetic Ireland and has offices in Dublin and Belfast, follows the recent appointment of Andrew Sinclair as managing director. Mr Sinclair will lead the acquired business alongside deputy managing director Aoife Hudson.

The company was founded in 1990 by co-founders Simon Durham and Carol Hogan, who will remain with the business.

Mr Durham said the transaction marked “an exciting new chapter” for the company. It will continue to serve as the exclusive provider to out-of-home planning and buying services to the client base of all Group M-owned agencies in the Irish market.

"Having worked closely with Poster Plan for a number of years to deliver out-of-home campaigns for Talon's clients in Ireland, this strategic acquisition was a natural next step," said Talon's global chief executive Barry Cupples.
