Treaty United to host champions Dundalk in FAI Cup first round

At least four non-league teams will make it through to the second round

FAI Cup newcomers Treaty United will host defending champions Dundalk in the first round of this year’s competition after the draw was made on Tuesday evening.

Shamrock Rovers, who were denied the double by Dundalk, will open their campaign at home to Galway United, with the 16 first-round games set to take place on the weekend after next.

Bohemians will travel to Munster Senior League side College Corinthians, while a number of non-league clubs will progress to the second round with four all non-league ties in the first round.
