Ireland's win against Germany on Thursday has set Twitter alight with equally nostalgic, amusing and bizarre musings from pop stars to politicians.
A goal from Shane Long in the second half brought Ireland to a 1-0 victory over the world champions Germany at the Aviva stadium, moving us closer to qualifying for Euro 2016.
Many high profile figures have taken to the social media site to comment on the memorable win, from Justin Bieber referring to Robbie Keane as "my brother Keano" to Niall Horan announcing he intends to name his first child Shane Long.
I'm making sure I call my first child @ShaneLong7 ... always brings the goods ... Long ball , very well taken finish ...

Love to my brother Keano and the Irish squad on a big win today. Got this vid of them listening to #WhatDoYouMean after the win. Love it.

People also remembered Bill O’Herlihy, many saying he would have enjoyed the spectacle of such a victory and others lamenting the absence of his commentary.
Enda Kenny congratulated the team on their win and received instant backlash, some saying "that's how you stand up against the Germans" and others asking when he might announce the date of the general election.
