Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill will be without Everton full back Séamus Coleman and goalkeeper Shay Given for next Saturday's European Championship qualifier against Gibraltar at the Aviva Stadium.

Coleman missed Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United and has not played since suffering concussion in the Europa League win over Wolfsburg on September 18th.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes the Donegal-born defender will also miss the trip to Gelsenkirchen to play world champions Germany next Tuesday, but there has been no confirmation yet from the FAI.

They have confirmed that veteran goalkeeper Shay Given will miss the game against Gibraltar with a hip injury.
