Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill has reduced his squad to 27 players for the upcoming games against England and Scotland with Kevin Doyle among four strikers cut from the original panel of 33.

Doyle, who has moved to MLS side Colorado Rapids, has started just two friendly games under O’Neill and the 31-year-old’s only involvement in the present Euro 2016 campaign was as a second-half sub in the 7-0 victory over Gibraltar in Dublin last October.

Celtic's Anthony Stokes, Aberdeen's Adam Rooney and Simon Cox of Reading are the other strikers to miss out, while midfielders Alan Judge of Brentford and Anthony Pilkington of Cardiff City are the other players to miss out.

Ireland play England in a friendly match on Sunday June 7th at the Aviva Stadium (1pm) before taking on Scotland in a Euro 2016 qualifier at the same venue on Saturday June 13th at 5pm.
