Teenage defender Paddy McNair was handed his debut as Manchester United looked to bounce back from their defeat to Leicester by beating West Ham at Old Trafford in the Barclays Premier League.

An injury crisis meant McNair, 19, started at centre-half while Luke Shaw made his first appearance for the Red Devils since his €33 million move from Southampton.

Radamel Falcao, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie started up front for United while West Ham drafted in Diego Poyet and Morgan Amalfitano for Mark Noble and Cheikhou Kouyate.
