Crystal Palace have reached agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain over the purchase of Yohan Cabaye, with the France international expected to confirm next week whether he will return to the Premier League with the south London club.
Talks between Palace co-chairman Steve Parish and PSG have been positive, with the fee involved to secure Cabaye expected to top £10 million (€14 million) and therefore a club record. The 29-year-old worked with Alan Pardew during a successful stint at Newcastle and is attracted to the idea of joining his former manager, though it is understood he is also seeking evidence of Palace's ambition.
West Ham are confident of concluding a deal to secure Juventus centre half Angelo Ogbonna, with the Italy international due to take a medical and sign a four-year contract at Upton Park this week.
Ogbonna, who has 10 caps, had attracted interest from Everton but the prospect of moving to London appears to have swayed his decision. A fee of around £10 million has been agreed with Juve, as Slaven Bilic seeks to bolster his backline.
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed everything with Toby Alderweireld and Atlético Madrid over the Belgium defender's transfer to White Hart Lane, from the €16 million fee to the personal terms on a long-term contract. Alderweireld is even understood to have taken his medical.
The deal, though, rests on Atlético being able to resolve a dispute with Southampton, where Alderweireld played last season on loan. The club had the option to make the 26-year-old’s transfer permanent for €8 million, unless Atlético paid them €2 million to cancel the arrangement.
Southampton took up the option and say that Atlético then failed to meet the deadline on the cancellation fee, meaning that the player should be theirs.

for £14.1 million, with the striker offered a five-year contract. Despite agreeing a four-year deal last August the Bosnian again struggled to establish himself as first choice under Manuel Pellegrini.
Liverpool have confirmed that Mario Balotelli has been given compassionate leave after he missed the first day of pre-season training on Monday. The 24-year-old Italian was due to return along with the rest of the squad but was not with his team-mates when they reassembled amid reports of the death of his adoptive father, Francesco.
