Connacht’s Tiernan O’Halloran will undergo knee surgery on Wednesday and miss another three to four weeks of rugby.

The wing has what the province described as a "troublesome knee" and has not featured in the opening three games of the season that have seen Connacht climb to third in the table with three wins from three.

They will take on second-placed Glasgow at Scotstoun on Friday (7.35pm) with confidence high after a 10-9 win over Leinster at the Sportsground last weekend.

There were no fresh injury concerns emerging from that game, a win that followed victories over Newport-Gwent Dragons and Edinburgh.

“There were some sore bodies following round three’s bruising encounter but the medical team reported no serious injuries,” a Connacht statement said today.

"Flanker Willie Faloon and wing Niyi Adeolokun, who left the field on Friday night, both returned to training on Monday in Galway.

"Danie Poolman also resumed training earlier in the week after recovering from the illness that kept him out of Friday night's game."

The squad for the game against the warriors will be confirmed on Thursday afternoon.
