Ulster coach Mark Anscombe will give Ruan Pienaar every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of Saturday's Heineken Cup quarter-final against Saracens at Ravenhill (6.30).

The South African international scrumhalf has not played since the game against the Scarlets on March 14th because of a shoulder injury but Anscombe suggested this afternoon that they expected Pienaar to be fit.

There are not other injuries arising out of last weekend's disappointing defeat to Cardiff at the Arms Park. Stephen Ferris started for a match for the first time following his long term absence because of an ankle problem and came through unscathed.
