Free Eagle remains as low as 12-1 for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe with forecasts on the likely state of the ground at Longchamp dominating the run in to Sunday’s Paris spectacular but the Dermot Weld-Pat Smullen team can make the most of the Fairyhouse conditions on Tuesday to win with Juliette Fair.

She is one of 10 fillies due to line up in the €45,000 Listed Blenheim Stakes and a going outlook approaching “good” should be ideal for her.

A winner on fast ground over a month ago, as a daughter of Dark Angel, Juliette Fair is likely to prefer an easier surface, although maybe not as testing as when finishing five lengths off Smash Williams in the Group 3 Round Tower at the Curragh.

It was still no disgrace to finish behind a colt with top-flight ambitions and a low draw will be a help against a deep field which includes the 104 rated Taisce Naisunta who drops back in distance from the Moyglare.

Weld introduces an interesting newcomer in Midst, a sister to the high-class Flying Jib in the opener where the danger could prove to be Jim Bolger’s debutant, Clear Cut.

Bolger’s McGuigan has half a length in hand of Weld’s Valac from Navan recently as they finally try to break their maidens in the finale while Intense Focus’ half-brother, Spin Point, can build on his Gowran victory off a mark of 82 in the mile and a half handicap.
