Tickets for the final three days of the Irish Open at Royal County Down are sold out, organisers have announced.

There will be a full house for Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the European Tour event, with ticketless fans being advised against turning up without.

Tickets for Tuesday’s practice and Wednesday’s Pro-Am are still on sale, however Thursday’s opening day is also nearing a sell-out.

The competition is being hosted by Rory McIlroy’s charity the Rory Foundation, and the world number one has gathered together a stellar cast for the tournament, which starts on May 21st.

Among those featuring at Royal County Down are Sergio Garcia, Rickie Fowler, Graeme McDowell, Martin Kaymer and McIlroy himself.

The 2012 Irish Open, held at Royal Portrush, was the first event in European Tour history to sell out in advance.
