All Ireland champions Tipperary will face Westmeath at home in round one of the 2017 hurling championship after their defeat to Cork in the Munster quarter-final.

Kilkenny, who also have to go through round one action after losing out to Wexford a fortnight ago, will face the tough task of getting past Limerick if they’re to go on and regain the All-Ireland title they lost to Tipp last year.

Meanwhile, Laois were rewarded for their preliminary round win over Carlow on Sunday with a trip to face Ger Cunningham’s Dublin side.

And finally, Derek McGrath’s Waterford side – who lost out to Cork in the Munster semi-final last weekend – will travel to take on Offaly.
