Fogarty the hero as Ros Cré roar to victory

Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré 2-16
Cross & Passion 0-10

Jordan Fogarty was the man of the hour as Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré roared to victory in the post-primary schools All-Ireland senior hurling Roinn B final. The midfielder chipped in with 1-8, his 23rd minute goal a turning point as the Tipp men beat their Antrim opposition in Nowlan Park on Saturday.

The Ulster school opened well, going 0-4 to 0-1 up thanks to points from Jonathan McErlain, Cormac McClafferty (2) and Diarmaid McShane, but Roscrea caught up before Fogarty found the net. Driving the ball in from 45m, he was awarded the goal after umpires ruled Cross and Passion keeper had stepped over the line when making the catch. Another Fogarty point took the winners 1-7 to 0-6 clear at half-time.

Roscrea opened the new half with a brace of points from Fogarty. Ciaran Cleary added another brace, and Cross and Passion never recovered.
