The GAA have now confirmed the outstanding fixture arrangements for all three phases of the All-Ireland football Super 8 quarter-finals, plus the All-Ireland semi-finals in hurling.

This weekend’s phase 1 games of the Super 8s were already fixed for Croke Park: Roscommon will face Tyrone at 5.0 on Saturday, ahead of the other fixture in Group 2 between Dublin and Donegal (7.0).

On Sunday, the Group 1 matches between Kildare and Monaghan (2.0), and Kerry and Galway (4.0) are also set for Croke Park.

Then the home-away arrangements come into play for phase 2. On Saturday, July 21st, Tyrone will host Dublin at Healy Park at 7.0 in Group 2, while Roscommon will host Donegal at Dr Hyde Park at 5.0. Both those games go out on Sky Sports only.

Then on Sunday, July 22nd, Kildare will host Galway at Newbridge at 2.0 in Group 1, and Monaghan will host Kerry at Clones at 4.0 (RTÉ have the live rights for those games).

For the phase 3 games, on Saturday August 4th, Galway will host Monaghan at Pearse Stadium, 6.0) and Kerry will host Kildare at Fitzgerald Stadium at 6.0 in the remaining group 1 game, with both games on Sky.

On the Sunday, August 5th, in the remaining Group 2 games, Donegal will host Tyrone at Ballybofey at 3.30, and Dublin will host Roscommon at Croke Park at 3.30, both games being shown on RTÉ. It was decided to avoid using the August Bank Holiday Monday, August 6th, which was one of the provisional dates in the diary. Tickets for the remaining Super 8 games will go on sale from next Monday.

The GAA have also recapped on how the semi-final pairings will then be made: each team in a group plays the other teams once, with 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw.

In the event of teams finishing on equal points in a quarter-final group, the tie shall be decided by the following means and in the order specified:

(i) Where two teams only are involved – the outcome of the meeting of the two teams in the group; (ii) Score difference – subtracting the total scores against from the total scores for; (iii) highest total score for; (iv) highest total goals for; (v) a playoff

The semi-final pairings will then be: quarter-final group 1 winner v quarter-final group 2 runner-up; quarter-final group 2 winner v quarter-final group 1 runner-up. The semi-finals to be played on the August 11th and 12th August, and the order of the semi-finals will be confirmed once the pairings are known.

This weekend’s All-Ireland hurling quarter-finals were split between Saturday and Sunday: beaten Munster finalists Clare taking on Wexford in Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday afternoon (3.0), while on Sunday Limerick will face Kilkenny in Thurles (2.0).

The hurling semi-finals have also been split. On Saturday July 28th, Galway will face one of the All-Ireland quarter-final winners at Croke Park, 5.0 (RTÉ/Sky); on the Sunday, July 29th, Cork will face the other All-Ireland quarter-final winner also at Croke Park, 3.0 (RTÉ/Sky).

Semi-finals are subject to the respective provincial champions not meeting the defeated finalists from their own province at this stage and, where feasible, the avoidance of repeat pairings, below are the potential pairings.

If Kilkenny and Clare win their quarter-finals, the semi-final pairings will be; Galway v Clare; Cork v Kilkenny.

If Limerick and Wexford win their quarter-finals, the semi-final pairings will be; Galway v Limerick; Cork v Wexford.

If Kilkenny and Wexford win their quarter-finals, the semi-final pairings will be; Galway v Wexford; Cork v Kilkenny.

If Clare and Limerick win their quarter-finals, the semi-final pairings will be; Galway v Clare; Cork v Limerick.
