Limerick 1-12 Louth 1-14

Louth came from five points down to pick up their first win of the season over Division three leaders Limerick at a baltic UL on Sunday afternoon. The game was re-fixed at the last minute after TUS Gaelic Grounds was deemed unplayable.

Determined to play the fixture, Louth were validated by the decision when they scored the final seven points of the game in a storming finish in the midst of blizzard like conditions.

Sam Mulroy scored four points in a row before substitute Ciaran Byrne levelled the score - 1-12 apiece - but Louth’s momentum was too much for Limerick. Ciaran Downey and another from Mulroy sealed the comeback.
