Cork's footballers have been handed a boost with the news hurlers Aidan Walsh and Alan Cadogan will be joining the panel.
The Rebel’s hurling campaign came to a premature and disappointing end with last Saturday’s 1-17 to 0-23 defeat to Wexford.
And now both Walsh and Cadogan have made themselves available to football boss Peadar Healy and will be a welcome addition to the county squad.
According to reports in the Irish Examiner, the duo took part in training on Monday night.
An All-Ireland winner with the footballers in 2010, Walsh won an All-Star in 2010 and 2012, but last appeared in the the 2014 All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Mayo before opting to concentrate on hurling.
Cadogan meanwhile is yet to feature in senior inter-county football but won three Munster U-21 titles between 2012 and 2014, and joins brother Eoin in the panel.
