This weekend’s All-Ireland club football semi-finals are due to go ahead despite a series of weather warnings issued for the coming days.

Semi-finals are scheduled to take place across the country on Saturday and Sunday in the All-Ireland junior, intermediate and senior club championships.

However, an update from the GAA on Friday confirming the six fixtures added that due to the current weather forecast the association will monitor pitches over the weekend and “any changes will be notified as soon as possible”.

Met Éireann has issued an orange warning for snow and ice for six counties – Carlow, Kilkenny, Clare, Limerick and Tipperary – from 5pm on Saturday to 5pm on Sunday. At the same time, a yellow warning for snow and ice will cover the rest of Leinster, Connacht, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan and Waterford.

On Saturday, Crossmolina Deel Rovers (Mayo) and Caragh (Kildare) travel to Pearse Park for their All-Ireland club intermediate football semi-final at 1pm, while Austin Stacks (Kerry) will face Ballinderry (Derry) at Parnell Park, throw-in at 2pm. On Friday afternoon, the GAA confirmed a change of time and venue for the latter fixture, which had originally been due to take place at O’Connor Park, Tullamore at 1pm.

Sunday’s action kicks off at 12pm in Ruislip, where London club Tara play Naomh Pádraig Muff (Donegal) in the All-Ireland club junior football twinning final. In the grade’s semi-final, An Cheathrú Rua (Galway) face Ballinagar (Offaly) in Dr Hyde Park at 1pm.

In the All-Ireland club senior football semi-finals on Sunday, Coolera-Strandhill (Sligo) will meet Cuala (Dublin) at Breffni Park, throw-in at 1.30pm, before Dr Crokes (Kerry) and Errigal Ciarán (Tyrone) face off at O’Moore Park, throw-in at 3.30pm.
