Tyrone’s Seán Hurson to referee All-Ireland football final

First senior final for the Galbally Pearses man as he takes charge of Galway vs Kerry at Croke Park

Tyrone’s Seán Hurson has been named as the referee for the All-Ireland football final between Galway and Kerry on July 24th. This will be the first time Hurson has taken charge of a senior final.

A member of the Galbally Pearses club, he previously refereed this year’s All-Ireland quarter-final between Cork and Dublin.

His umpires at Croke Park will be Mark Coney (Ardboe O ‘Donovan Rossa), Mel Taggart (Clonoe O’Rahilly’s), Cathal Forbes (Ardboe O ‘Donovan Rossa) and Martin Conway (Moortown St Malachy’s).

Roscommon’s Paddy Neilan will be the standby referee. The other linesman is Barry Cassidy (Derry), and the sideline official will be Seán Laverty (Antrim).

The match will be televised both on RTÉ and Sky Sports with throw-in scheduled for 3.30pm.
