Engineers Ireland’s National Conferring of Registered Professional Titles and Volunteer Recognition Ceremony was held at the InterContinental Hotel, Dublin, on Thursday, May 16th. The event, which saw about 100 engineers conferred with professional titles and a further 60 presented with certificates of appreciation for their contributions to the work of Engineers Ireland, was the final conferring event of the year.

The event is an annual celebration of Irish engineering where members are conferred with the four registered professional titles that Engineers Ireland is entitled to award: Member Technician, Associate Engineer, Chartered Engineer, and Fellow. Additionally, each year the president of Engineers Ireland is afforded the opportunity to nominate for fellowship those with the ability to shape, influence and inspire both engineers and the future of the engineering industry, who are then presented with their title at this annual ceremony.
