Sir, – Gary Doyle (Letters, September 4th) suggests that the text messages surrounding the Zappone controversy are insignificant compared to the wider set of challenges facing the Government. I would suggest that the manner in which the players in the present controversy conduct themselves now will demonstrate whether or not they are fit to tend to the wider, more substantive challenges Mr Doyle refers to. – Yours, etc,
