Sir, – It’s been an eventful year in politics but I didn’t know the German chancellor was Angela Murkily (“UK set to opt in to extension of Europol powers”, December 28th). The same article refers to political parties in the Bundesliga, which until now has been reserved for football teams, and a German politician called Mr Hunky (Andrej Hunko). Is this the new politics or just a spellchecker gone rogue? – Yours, etc,
