Sir, – Perhaps our TDs and Ministers would consider using email, texting or WhatsApp to send their Christmas wishes, etc, instead of paper? The cards and newsletters will end up in the green bin. As for calendars, most people nowadays, I imagine, use their mobile phones to check dates. A personal donation to charity would be more appropriate and kinder to the taxpayers’ pockets and the environment. – Yours, etc,
