Sir, – I’m very baffled (and enraged) as to why I can’t bring my 18-month-old daughter to be properly fitted for her first pair of shoes, yet I was able to buy a lampshade recently in one of the bigger DIY stores?
I would love to know the Government’s reasoning that it deems children’s shoes and clothes as non-essential items, when children, especially small children, grow at a rapid rate.
My daughter has been walking since Christmas, and I’ve had to delay getting her shoes because the shops are closed. To say this is a disgrace is an understatement. I wonder how members of the Government would feel to have to walk around in socks or ill-fitting shoes. – Yours, etc,
ORLA GREANEY,
