Sir, – Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly keeps saying his new catchphrase, “There’s no silver bullet” for Covid-19.
The booster vaccine is the best available “bullet” for the entire population, obviously reducing the number of hospitalisations. Yet he refuses to distribute the booster nationwide for all 16 year-olds and over, using all resources available.
In all local community areas there are GAA clubs with their own medics capable of vaccinating everyone in the local communities; access being readily available if you don’t have a car especially.
I’m sure there are many other options available, thinking outside the box. Boosters are the best available option.
