Two people infected by the outbreak of Acinetobacter baumanii bacteria which is resistant to antibiotics have been isolated to avoid infecting other patients.

The ICU was closed immediately after the outbreak and its patients accommodated in other wards.

The hospital said intensive cleaning and sterilisation has taken place and are now happy that the process has removed the organism from the unit. No more infections have taken place.
