€64 billion the size of the bailout the Oireachtas banking inquiry is charged with investigating; 12 the number of investigators who will assist the inquiry in securing the appropriate documentation and papers, and in identifying relevant witnesses; 2 the number of senior executives from the pre-crash era who survive in senior positions at Irish-owned banks: Bank of Ireland chief executive Richie Boucher and Fergus Murphy, former chief of EBS and now director of products at AIB; November 2015 when the banking inquiry intends to present its report; First key witness the author of his own report on the Irish banking debacle, Finnish academic and finance expert Peter Nyberg will attend the inquiry today; Second key witness: Rob Wright, a former Canadian secretary general of finance whose report on the Department of Finance was submitted in 2010. He will appear tomorrow; 30+ the number of witnesses expected to be called, although an official figure is not available; Cost the inquiry's costs will be published on a quarterly basis; Context phase due to conclude in March, the initial hearings will gather information from witnesses to inform the next phase of the banking inquiry's work; Nexus phase scheduled to begin in April, this phase will examine the various banking systems and practices; the regulatory and supervisory systems and practices in place; and the crisis management systems and policy responses.
