The former chairman of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority has objected to a report on the project by the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee.

Lar Bradshaw has written to the committee alleging it has not taken a "balanced perspective" on the purchase of the Irish Glass Bottle site.

The site, bought in 2006 as part of a joint venture, resulted in the eventual loss to the DDDA of €52 million.

Mr Bradshaw also objects to the 3½ years the PAC took to complete its report.

Mr Bradshaw has said it must stress the State did not make a loss, being on both sides of the transaction. The PAC is to meet today to discuss the correspondence.

The Irish Glass Bottle site in Ringsend was bought in 2006 for €412 million by a consortium that included the DDDA.
