Robbie Williams fans who missed out on tickets for his one Irish concert next year may stay disappointed despite rumours of a second concert.

Despite speculation about a second date, there are no indications as yet that the pop star will perform any extra concerts in Ireland.

The concert, which is scheduled to take place on June 9th in Croke Park, sold out in just 20 minutes. More than 80,000 tickets went on sale at 8am this morning through Ticketmaster.

Justin Green of MCD said the promoter wasn't aware of any plans to add extra dates. "There is only one date. there has only ever been one date," he said. "We don't want to give people false hope."

The managing director of Ticketmaster Ireland described it as "a ticket lottery". "We could have sold out three Croke Parks and still not supplied the huge demand for tickets," said Eamonn O Connor.

Last week, Williams broke a Guinness World Record by selling over 1.6 million concert tickets for his 2006 World Tour. The tour will take in 14 different countries, and play to more than 2.6 million fans worldwide.
