Man charged with possessing £0.5m of heroin

A man was today charged with the possession of three kilos of heroin in Dublin’s District Court.

A man was today charged with the possession of three kilos of heroin in Dublin’s District Court.

Mr James Cash, (43), with an address at 1 Sheephill Avenue, Blanchardstown, Dublin, replied "nothing to say" when the charge was read out.

He was arrested with a quantity of drugs with a street value of £500,000 on September 3rd.

Detective Garda Paul Doran said the accused was a married man with three children. He had surrendered his passport and the Garda told the court there was no opposition to bail under certain conditions.

Judge David Anderson remained the accused on bail of £15,000 and ordered Mr Cash to sign on daily at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

The case will he heard at Clover Hill on September 12th.
