Two men have died in road crashes on Thursday night in counties Donegal and Dublin.

A man in his 20s was seriously injured in a two-car collision on the R236 in St Johnston, Dundee, Co. Donegal, at about 9.15pm.

He was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, where he later died.

The road is closed for a Garda techical examination, and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and any camera footage. Anyone with information is asked to contact Letterkenny Garda station on 074 916 7100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

In Dublin, a motorcylist died in a collision involving a car at the junction of Kimmage Road West and Whitehall Road in Terenure, Dublin 6, at about 9.10pm.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí have completed a technical examination of the scene, and the road has reopened.
