Toll charges on East Link Bridge to be reduced from next week

Move follows ruling from Revenue that VAT should not be charged on Tom Clark toll

Toll charges on the East Link Bridge will be reduced from next week.

Dublin city council said in a statement on Friday the drop comes following a ruling from the Revenue Commissioners that VAT should not be charged on the Tom Clark toll Bridge, otherwise known as the East Link Bridge.

The council said it was “pleased” to announce that from Friday, August 18th VAT will be removed from all toll charges at the Bridge.

The new rates are (old price in brackets):

Van/Bus - €2.10 (€2.60)

Two axle - €2.85 (€3.50)

Three axle - €3.50 (€4.30)

Four axle - €4.25 (€5.20)
