Rod Stewart confirmed for Kilkenny’s Nowlan Park

Date set for next June, 5 Seconds of Summer also announce April show at Dublin’s 3Arena

Rod Stewart will play Nowlan Park in Kilkenny next summer.

The first major outdoor concert announcement for next summer was made on Friday morning.

Stewart will play the venue on Saturday June 25th as part of the Hits 2016 tour. He will release his new album Another Country on October 30th.

Nowlan Park has hosted a number of high-profile concerts over previous years including Stewart, Andrea Bocelli, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and most notably the European tour finale of Bruce Springsteen, who played four sold-out shows.

Also announced on Friday was Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer who will play Dublin’s 3Arena on April 26th.

Their new album Sounds Good Feels Good is being released on October 23rd. Their self-titled debut album topped the US album chart and went to number one globally on iTunes in 76 countries.

Massive Attack announced a second date in the Olympia Theatre after the first sold out in a matter of minutes. They have added a second show on January 20th to follow their January 19th concert.

Tickets are priced from €50.65 including booking fee and are on sale now from Ticketmaster.
