Gardaí are investigating the death of a pedestrian on the N11 near Bray, Co Wicklow at about 7.40pm last night.

Gardaí are investigating the death of a pedestrian on the N11 near Bray, Co Wicklow at about 7.40pm last night.

A man believed to be aged in his late 30s/early 40s was killed when he was struck by a car driven by a woman who was taken by ambulance to St Vincent’s Hospital.

Her condition was unknown last night.

Gardaí closed the northbound carriageway of the road between junctions seven and eight to allow a forensic examination of the scene with resulting diversions. The road has reopened today.
