Man (60s) dies after collision between two SUVs and car in Co Donegal

A man in his 60s has died following a collision between two SUVs and a car in Co Donegal on Monday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 9.20am in Admiran, Stranorlar, Co Donegal.

The driver of the car was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital in a critical condition. He subsequently died as a result of his injuries and a postmortem will be conducted at a later date.

He was named as Michael Reid from Knockfair, Stranorlar.

The road was closed while forensic collision investigators carried out an examination of the scene.

Gardaí at Ballybofey are appealing for witnesses to this collision and for any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, who were travelling in the area at the time to make this footage available to gardaí.

Separately, a man aged in his 30s died following a single vehicle crash on the A1 near Dromore, Co Down on Monday.
