Long delays for motorists as N11 shut in both directions

Incident near N11 bridge results in 4km tailback with drivers urged to use other routes

There are long delays at the N11 / M50 junction at Loughlinstown in south Co Dublin this morning as Gardai have closed the N11 in both directions following an incident near the N11 bridge.

Northbound traffic is extremely heavy on approach with a tailback as far as Bray.

Motorists have been advised to divert if possible, or to take the M50 towards Cherrywood. Those travelling south on the N11 should divert via Ballybrack and Shankill.

Dublin Bus routes 145 and 84 are also affected.

Traffic is also diverted from Castlepark Road in Dalkey between the Hyde Road junction and the Breffni Road jction due to road works. Diversions are in place until November 15th.

There are also delays in the Clonskeagh area due to roadworks at Clonskeagh Road, at Wynnsward Park.
