Hozier and the Kaiser Chiefs will support the Foo Fighters at Slane this summer.
Tickets for this year’s Slane gig go on sale on Monday and are priced at €79.50 each, promoters MCD have announced.
The presence of Hozier on the bill should boost ticket sales as he is the hottest Irish act around at present.
His debut album went straight to number one in the Irish charts in September. It is still at number four in the album charts nine weeks later.
Hozier’s sold out Irish shows kick off next week. His 20-date US tour in February and March including shows at The Beacon Theatre and Hammerstein Ballroom in New York are all sold out. Hozier’s current hit single ‘Angel of Small Death & The Codeine Scene’ is out now.
Foo Fighters sold 300,000 tickets in the UK last Friday, including two sold out shows at Wembley Stadium.
Sonic Highways, their eighth studio album, was recorded in eight different US cities and was the subject of a documentary
The Foo Fighters play Slane on May 30th. More acts will be announced, with five likely to be on the bill in total.
