Gardaí release men arrested in connection with Westport death

File concerning death of Sylwia Adamaczyk will be prepared for DPP

The remains of Sylwia Adamaczyk were discovered at an apartment in Westport on July 31st.

The two men arrested in connection with the discovery of a woman's body in Co Mayo have been released without charge.

Gardaí on Saturday morning said a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The remains of Sylwia Adamaczyk (40), a Polish national, were discovered at an apartment on Castlebar Street, Westport, on July 31st.

Two men aged in their 50s and 30s were arrested in connection with the death and detained at Castlebar Garda station.

Gardaí said a post-mortem Ms Adamaczyk’s body has been carried out; the results are not being released for operational reasons.
