Lost Leads is a series in The Irish Times that retells the best stories from the newspaper's archive. Normally, we source stories by firstly going to the archives on irishtimes.com – now, we'd like to hear from readers who may have historical stories they would like to see covered.

Do you have any old family stories of historical significance that may have been covered in the newspaper? Or do you know an old story from your local area which may have made headlines?

Perhaps there’s a prominent criminal case or lesser-known passage in Irish history you’d like to read more about. In any case, we’d like to hear your suggestions.

Your contributions may form the basis of articles published on irishtimes.com.
