A 10-year-old boy has died after being struck by a car in Tullamore, Co Offaly, this morning.
Investigating gardaí have sealed off the scene for an examination and inquiries are ongoing.
The incident, which occurred shortly after 9am, was described as a tragedy by a Garda source.
