A fog warning has been extended for across Ireland on Friday as Met Éireann warns of severe frost with temperatures set to drop to minus 6 degrees overnight.
Met Éireann had issued a status orange weather warning for Co Mayo and Co Donegal due to the freezing temperatures earlier.
A new warning for low temperatures has been issued for Connacht and counties Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

The yellow “be aware” alert will take effect on Friday at 7pm and last until Saturday 10am.
A yellow weather warning for fog was issued for across the country until 6pm on Friday.
A status orange warning was also issued for Connacht, as well as Counties Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal, in relation to “widespread dense fog” with some freezing fog in places and was in place until 11am.
Temperatures on Friday night are forecast to fall to minus 6 degrees in places, with severe frost and a risk of freezing fog forecast.
Saturday morning is predicted to be cold and frosty as the fog clears slowly.
The highest temperatures will be 4 to 10 degrees.
The night is not expected to be as cold as in recent days, with lowest temperatures from 0 to 4 degrees with fog patches.
Forecasters said it will be mainly dry on Sunday with cloud and some light showers along the coast.
Patchy frost and fog are expected to develop through the night.
