Met Eireann is predicting dry and sunny weather for most of the Easter weekend with top temperatures reaching 16 degrees but rain is set to arrive late on Sunday.
Tomorrow will be another bright day with long spells of sunshine for most areas, with top temperatures in the low to mid teens.
There may be some early cloud and drizzle along the northwest coast that will clear up as day goes on.
Easter Sunday will be dry and sunny for most of the day, with highest temperatures of 14 to 15 degrees.
It will be cooler in coastal areas in Leinster and north Ulster with fresh north westerly winds.
Head of forecasting at Met Éireann Gerald Fleming said although there was a threat of rain on Sunday, "it doesn't look terribly bad".
“Sunday looks to be good early on and then deteriorate,” he said.
Outbreaks of rain are expected to hit Leinster and Munster late evening and overnight.
Monday is likely to be dry for most of the time, with temperatures reaching 16 degrees.
There is a risk of showers, especially over Leinster and Munster.
Forecasters predict Tuesday to continue with sunshine and showers. Heavier rain may become more widespread on Wednesday.
The Department of Agriculture is reminding people from forest owners,to farmers and the general public remain vigilant of the high risk of wildfires during the current spell of good weather this weekend.
It has issued a “condition orange” high fire risk alert to the forest industry.
