A prize of computerware to the value of £3,000 is on offer to secondary school students in the Gaeltacht with a winning idea for a new e-business. The competition is being run by Milaois na Gaeltachta (a subsidiary of Udaras na Gaeltachta) with support from the corporate sector. Entries - in the form of a 1,000 word plan - have to be in by November 24th. "Our aim is to encourage e-commerce education and thinking in the Gaeltacht," says Sinead Ni Fhatharta, co-manager of Milaois na Gaeltachta. "Secondary schools are consistently coming up with excellent ideas and we want to illustrate that e-business is a very real option and should be a consideration for young people." All details of the competition are available on the Gaeltacht website at www.gaeltach2000.com
