Two people injured in hit-and-run collision in Co Carlow

Two people have been injured in a hit-and-run incident in Carlow yesterday evening.

The incident happened on a local road in the Urglin Rutland area of Carlow Town.

A man (59) was seriously injured in the collision and a 23-year-old woman suffered minor injuries.

They have been taken to St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny for treatment.

The injured are a 59-year-old man s seriously injured while the second pedestrian, a 23-year-old female, sustained minor injuries.
