Two men in their 20s remain in custody after they were arrested yesterday by gardaí investigating the suspicious death of a man at an apartment in Finglas, Dublin.
Gardaí were called to the ground floor apartment at about 11am yesterday where they found the 29-year-old’s body in a bedroom.
Gardaí said there was a party at the address in Spring Mount Apartments, Wellmount Road overnight.
They appealed to anyone who attended the party between 8pm and 7am to come forward. A Garda spokesman said some people have already come forward to help with the investigation.
Gardaí also appealed for taxi drivers who may have collected passengers from the apartment complex overnight to come forward.
State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy visited the scene yesterday and started a preliminary examination.
The body of the man was removed to the City Morgue in Marino where a postmortem took place.
Gardaí are awaiting for the results of the postmortem before deciding what direction the investigation will take.
Gardaí have appointed an officer to liaise with the man’s family.
Gardaí will not name the man until his family have been informed.
The two men were arrested in Finglas yesterday y are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Finglas Garda station.
