A date has been set for the retrial of a man accused of the murder three years ago of a teenager who was in State care.

Trevor Noone (25), of Whitestown Avenue, had pleaded not guilty to murdering Daniel McAnaspie (17) at Tolka Valley Park, Blanchardstown on February 26th, 2010.

His trial collapsed earlier this month after his co-accused was acquitted by direction of the judge.

Today, Mr Justice Paul Carney set a new date of October 7th, 2014 for Mr Noone's trial.
