Two men accused of breaking into Leinster Rugby coach Joe Schmidt's house will have their case dealt with in the District Court, Tallaght Court has heard.
Fergus Donegan (45) with an address at Nutgrove Crescent, Rathfarnham and Christy Connors (19) with an address at St Anne's, Coolcots, County Wexford are charged with burglary at an address at Braemor Park in Churchtown on December 9th last.
The pair allegedly carried out the burglary last December on the day of an important Heineken Cup pool game in France.
Mr Donegan is also charged with possession of black leather gloves and a torch for use in theft at an address at Orwell Court, Churchtown, also on December 9th last. Mr Connors is also charged with possession of items for use in theft including a screwdriver, white socks and a piece of green hard plastic at Orwell Court, also on December 9th last.
The case was before Judge Anthony Halpin for DPP's directions. Presenting Sergeant Bernard Jones told the court that the DPP had directed summary disposal.
Judge Halpin accepted jurisdiction. Sgt Jones asked for two weeks to supply disclosure. Judge Halpin remanded Mr Donegan and Mr Connors on continuing bail for two weeks for a plea and or a date for hearing.
