Man presents himself at hospital with shooting injuries

Gardaí are seeking information after a man presented himself in hospital with injuries following a shooting incident in Coolock, Dublin, earlier this evening.

The man, aged in his 20s, is understood to have been hit a number of times while in the Ferrycarraig Drive area of Priorswood, but managed to get himself to Beaumont Hospital just before 7pm.

Gardaí were unable to shed any light on his injuries other than to say they were not life-threatening. The circumstances of the shooting are unclear.

Detectives hope to be able to talk to the victim once he has received medical attention.
