Man charged with murder of Sonia Blount in Tallaght

31-year-old from west Dublin to appear in court over death of woman at Tallaght hotel

A man is to appear in court today charged with the murder of a woman in Dublin on Sunday.

Sonia Blount (30) was found dead in a room in the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght by cleaning staff on Sunday afternoon.

The man (31), from west Dublin, handed himself into gardai in central Dublin on Sunday night.

A Garda spokesman said the man would appear at Tallaght District Court at 10.30am today.

It is understood that the man was known to Ms Blount, a mother of one from the Old Bawn area of Tallaght.
